The Cedel P1 extension modules (CED-P1) offer a smart solution for situations where the distance between your smart meter and charging station is too great for standard P1 cables. Thanks to these modules, you can load balancing use load balancing — even over distances of up to 100 meters. Ideal for private homes, apartments, company parking lots, or projects where cable routes cannot be laid out in a straight line.

This plug-and-play extension ensures that your charging station detects the smart meter and automatically adjusts the charging capacity to the current energy flows (load balancing) — without any additional software configuration.

Operation & installation (plug & play)

1. Connect the smart meter module to your smart meter using a P1 cable.
2. Connect the smart meter module to the charging station module using a UTP network cable (standard category).
3. Connect the charging station module to the charging station using the supplied P1 cable.
4. The charging station automatically detects the smart meter and starts load balancing no manual configuration required.

This setup keeps load balancing while giving you flexibility in cable routes and distance.
